Samsung ha confirmado oficialmente este 17 de marzo de 2026 que descontinúa el Galaxy Z TriFold, su revolucionario teléfono de doble bisagra, apenas tres meses después de su debut. El dispositivo de 2.899 dólares, que prometía transformar el sector, dejará de fabricarse y no volverá a estar disponible en la tienda online una vez se agote el escaso stock restante.
Esta noticia, confirmada por un portavoz de la compañía a Bloomberg, llega en una semana negra para el hardware de Samsung, sumándose a los reportes de fatiga ocular en el Galaxy S26 Ultra y los fallos de certificación en la Google Play Store.
¿Por qué Samsung «mata» su invento más futurista?
Aunque el TriFold se agotaba en minutos en cada reposición, la realidad financiera detrás de las cámaras era insostenible. Según analistas de la industria, tres factores han sentenciado al dispositivo:
