A hard time emotionally with my son and sister today. I don't think they quite get why I might need to move. It is hard when you're not in someone else's financial situation. It may be hard to understand the concerns of someone not wanting to go down a route that could lead to a desperate life when you don't have those same concerns.

My sister and son live close by and so it is not without some pain that Florida's catastrophic rent increases force a move farther away. I will be grateful, however, to find a dwelling where there is safety and an air conditioner.

A Florida city in my sites as my next place of residence is Gainesville. Housing is fairly reasonable if you don't mind a tiny dwelling. I've lived there before when I was married and my son was little. I wonder if I can live there without being too affected by memories of my then-difficult-marriage. On a positive note, there used to be an anarchist library and a great used bookstore and cafe where an active writers' critique group met. #Gainesville #Housing #FloridaRent #RentIncrease
