I especially liked how every character in Engage had their unique idle pose/animation.

I just looked at Three Houses staff list and apparently Koei Tecmo also did all the game design.

While I am not a fan of any the new mechanics in Three Houses, the general Fire Emblem gameplay was still good and better than any 3ds Fire Emblem except for Conquest of course.

Still, I hope for Fortunes Wave they let whoever did the design in Engage to that part because Engage had not just good Fire Emblem gameplay but also the best.

For Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave I want that every unit has a unique boss conversation against the final boss or at least a one-sided one where only the unit talks.

It was briefly so refreshing in Echoes when each unit actually talked about fighting the final boss.

Wait wait wait, after looking into it more I think this is from the Engage ppl. It’s def that engine (evidence: looks ok and doesn’t run like ass), and Koei Tecmo doesn’t seem to be involved… The world and gameplay seem to take the names of some 3H stuff but rework them into mechanics that are, like, fun?

Even if Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave's gameplay is just like Three Houses and "ignores" Engage fully, I still think it's going to be a fun game.

I like Three Houses gameplay even though it's massively overshadowed by Engage. I think it's better than any 3ds Fire Emblem except for Conquest of course.

The most you can zoom out in Three Houses and Engage is just pathetic in comparison and so often annoying.
