@DrorBedrack Bob is often short for Robert. "Bob's your uncle" is a common UK / Commonwealth idiom for "and there you have it", similar to "et voilà!".
Fessor didn't realise it was an idiom, and was confused by why people wouldn't seemingly just state that fact about their dad's brother, i.e. uncle Robert/Bob.

@EI3JDB the missing link for me was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garibaldi_biscuit — I know them better as fruit biscuits, or the most popular brand name in the Netherlands growing up: "Sultanas" (which is confusing in itself since that's probably just the variety if raisins in them).

@finitebaffle as further visual aids, here are the detergent compartments for my current and old laundry machine, and the programme display of my current laundry machine. See image descriptions for details.

But these are just 2 of an endless variation of designs I guess, though I think most laundry machines have similar markings.

One thing to note btw is that you shouldn't fill the fabric softener above the max level, because you'll trigger the Pythagorean siphon mechanism that would drain the entire compartment. Usually this happens when the machine adds water to it during the appropriate cycle (which I assume is the Rinse cycle? not sure actually). @fesshole Side note for those who are not British, and/or might be unfamiliar with the term 'JCB': while JCB is the name of a manufacturer of heavy equipment and agricultural machinery, it's colloquially also used as a generic term for diggers and excavators, similar to how some regions refer to photocopiers as 'xerox' machines, even when not produced by Xerox, or how bandaids usually aren't adhesive bandages produced by Band-Aid anymore.
