    Vom 13.08. bis 13.09. verwandelt sich die Stadt Karlsruhe in einen Ausstellungsraum unter freiem Himmel!

    Die künstlerischen Positionen bespielen zentrale Orte – vom Marktplatz über den Alten Flugplatz bis an die Alb. Die Medienkunstwerke schaffen neue Verbindungen zwischen urbanem Raum, Natur und Gesellschaft. Sie machen Unsichtbares sichtbar: Mikroplastik im Flusswasser, Entwaldung als Rhythmus, Klimadaten als Klang. Die Präsentation findet parallel zum SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival statt und lädt vier Wochen lang dazu ein, Karlsruhe durch Medien- und Lichtkunst neu zu entdecken.

    Die feierliche Eröffnung findet am 12. August um 18.30 Uhr im ZKM Karlsruhe statt. Alle Interessierten sind herzlich willkommen!

    Die Künstler:innen nutzen wissenschaftliche Verfahren, historische Bezüge und partizipative Formate, um Orientierung zu finden in einer sich rasant wandelnden Welt, die eine freiheitliche Grundordnung in Frage stellt. Sie fragen: Wie können wir die ökologischen Herausforderungen unserer Zeit begreifen? Welche Geschichten erzählen militärische Spuren im Stadtraum? Und wie entstehen neue Formen von Gemeinschaft?

    Sie laden ein zum Perspektivwechsel – auf Moos, auf Bürokratie, auf queere Sichtbarkeiten. Medienkunst wird hier zum Instrument gesellschaftlicher Reflexion: präzise, poetisch, politisch.

    Mehrere Arbeiten machen Umweltveränderungen erfahrbar, die sonst unsichtbar bleiben. Die Künstler:innen arbeiten mit wissenschaftlichen Methoden: Rasterelektronenmikroskopie oder Geodatenanalyse. Diese künstlerischen Übersetzungen schaffen einen neuen Zugang zu abstrakten Zahlen. Sie verbinden lokale Orte mit globalen Prozessen – und erinnern daran, dass vermeintlich ferne ökologische Krisen uns unmittelbar betreffen.

    So setzen Norina Quinte, Andreas Hölldorfer (ato) und VOLNA mit der Pyramide von morgen auf dem Marktplatz ein visuelles Statement zum Klimawandel und schlagen eine Brücke zwischen der Geschichte der Stadt und ihrer ökologischen Zukunft. Die Medienkunstinstallation wird eine temporäre, begehbare Pyramidenstruktur in derselben Größe und Form wie die historische Pyramide auf dem Marktplatz sein.

    Vera Gärtner macht mit Live from Plastisphere die Mikroplastik-Verschmutzung in der Alb durch sehr großformatige Aufnahmen eines Rasterelektronenmikroskops sichtbar. Ihre poetisch-wissenschaftliche Annäherung an lokale Umweltprobleme erstreckt sich über das Schaufenster im Museum beim Markt und die Fischtreppe am Thomaswehr.

    Antoine Bertin übersetzt für 555 Hz Entwaldungsstatistiken in Beats pro Minute. Im daraus resultierenden Takt schlagen mehrere Metronomone und senden ein Lichtsignal. Dadurch setzt er dem abstrakten Verlust ein physisch und zeitlich erfahrbares Denkmal im Schlossgarten.

    Auch die Künstlerin Lucile Schwörer-Merz arbeitet mit Geodaten für ihre interaktive Klanginstallation meteo flux – eine Symphonie der Atmosphäre, die im Fasanengarten ausgestellt ist. Meteorologische Echtzeitdaten werden mit dem 40-Jahres-Mittelwert verglichen; Abweichungen werden hör- und sichtbar gemacht. Je nach Wetterlage und Bewegung der Besuchenden verändert sich ihre Arbeit.

    Desiree Kabis und Eveline Vervliet laden mit ihrer Installation Through Moss-Colored Glasses zu einem Perspektivwechsel ein. Die im Titel angekündigte „moosfarbene Brille“ übersetzt menschliche Bewegungen in die Sprache dieser oft übersehenen Lebewesen und eröffnet dadurch eine queere, nicht-menschliche Sichtweise auf Zusammenleben und Gemeinschaft. Erlebbar ist die Installation am Pavillon des Naturkundemuseums und im Regierungspräsidium.

    Das Duo IRIS-A-MAZ transformiert in der Kinemathek Peter Paul Rubens‘ Höllensturz der Verdammten in einen endlosen Schwebezustand. Ihre Videoarbeit Himmelssturz, speziell für die Phonolux-Maschine entwickelt, macht das Kino-Foyer zur Schwelle zwischen Realität und Filmwelt, zwischen Kontrolle und Befreiung.

    Weitere Arbeiten spüren militärischen und gesellschaftspolitischen Prägungen im Stadtraum nach. Sie verbinden historische Orte mit aktuellen Fragen: nach Sichtbarkeit, nach Schutzräumen, nach möglichen Zukünften. Die künstlerischen Interventionen machen deutlich, dass Geschichte nicht abgeschlossen ist – sie wirkt fort in Infrastrukturen.

    Welche Vergangenheit prägt unsere Gegenwart? Dieser Frage gehen in 2 Flächen bewegen, 50 km/h, Schritttempo Isabel Motz, Nis Petersen und Josefine Pilar Scheu nach. Sie verbinden mit ihren Performances und einem Audiowalk zwei gegensätzliche Karlsruher Orte: den ruhigen Alten Flugplatz und die verkehrsreiche Kriegsstraße. Durch performative Spaziergänge und Autofahrten werden die militärischen Prägungen beider Orte sichtbar gemacht und Fragen nach möglichen Zukünften der Stadt gestellt.

    Für unser zwischenmenschliches Zusammenleben und die Machtinstrumente, die dies organisieren, sensibilisieren Yulia Mashkova und Grisha Mumrikov in Fragile Homes. Ihre Projektion für die Schlosslichtspiele sowie die Skulpturen im öffentlichen Stadtraum erinnern daran, dass es sich um Menschen handelt und dass das Papier, auf dem unsere Bürokratie fußt, eine natürliche und endliche Ressource ist.

    Karolina Sobel thematisiert in der Videoarbeit Soft Signals im ZKM-Foyer queere und feministische Sichtbarkeit sowie die Fragilität von Schutzräumen. Das Gemeinschaftsprojekt entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit Natia Chikvaidze und Davit Khorbaladze aus Tiflis und nimmt die georgische Malerin Elene Akhvlediani (1898–1975) zum Ausgangspunkt.

    In Fortsetzung des 2024 gestarteten Austausches zwischen den Medienkunststädten Cali und Karlsruhe entwickeln Lehel Lajos und Daniela Vargas ihre Arbeit No Longer Not Yet (2025) weiter. Bei Yvonne Hohner Contemporary zeigt Memoraque eine Installation, die einem Traum zu entstammen scheint und in ein spannungsvolles Spiel zwischen Fluss und Echo hineinzieht.

    Einen Schritt weiter geht SangDoo Nam; er nutzt den öffentlichen Raum als Bühne für neue Formen des Austauschs. Seine Installation verwandelt den Kirchplatz St. Stephan in einen besonderen Pop-up-Store, an dem Menschen ihre Geschichten gegen Bilder tauschen können. Hier entsteht Kunst als soziale Praxis jenseits musealer Konservierung.

    Im studio hö erarbeitet Stipendiatin Isabelle Konrad in ihrem transmedialen Projekt FURIE eine neue visuelle Sprache für weibliche Wut. Kein Zufall, dass das Wort Hysterie vom griechischen hysterá – „Gebärmutter“ – kommt und dass die Furien der Mythologie als Rachegöttinnen gefürchtet wurden, nicht als Gerechtigkeitsbringerinnen. FURIE fragt, was mit dieser aufgestauten Energie passiert und was entsteht, wenn sie sich endlich Raum nimmt. Das Gesamtprojekt ist als langfristiger Bild- und Klangatlas angelegt, der über das Stipendium hinauswächst.

    Alle ausgestellten Arbeiten, bis auf Echo einer Ordnung, FURIE, Fragile Homes, Light up Weinbrenner, Memoraque und One way or another, sind 2024 und 2025 durch das Projektförderprogramm Medienkunst der UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts Karlsruhe gefördert worden.

    From August 13 to September 13, the city of Karlsruhe transforms into an open-air exhibition space.

    From the Marktplatz, through the Alte Flugplatz, to the Alb, visitors can experience contemporary media artworks free of charge and gain new perspectives on public space and our role within it. The presentation runs alongside the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival and, for four weeks, invites visitors to rediscover Karlsruhe through media and light art.

    The artistic works occupy central locations – from the Marktplatz to the Alter Flugplatz [old airfield] and along the river Alb. The media artworks create new connections between urban space, nature, and society. They make the invisible visible: microplastics in river water, deforestation as rhythm, climate data as sound. The exhibition runs parallel to the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival and invites visitors, over the course of four weeks, to rediscover Karlsruhe through media and light art.

    The official opening takes place on August 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the ZKM Karlsruhe. Everyone interested is warmly welcome.

    The artists draw on scientific methods, historical references, and participatory formats to find orientation in a rapidly changing world that challenges liberal-democratic order. They ask: How can we grasp the ecological challenges of our time? What stories do military traces in urban space tell? And how do new forms of community emerge?

    Visitors are invited to a shift in perspective – on moss, on bureaucracy, on queer visibility. Media art becomes an instrument of social reflection here: precise, poetic, political.

    Several works make environmental changes tangible that would otherwise remain invisible. The artists use scientific methods such as scanning electron microscopy or geodata analysis. These artistic translations create new access to abstract figures, linking local places with global processes – and remind us that seemingly distant ecological crises affect us directly.

    Norina Quinte, Andreas Hölldorfer (ato), and VOLNA make a visual statement on climate change with their Pyramide von morgen [Pyramid of Tomorrow] on the Marktplatz, bridging the city’s history with its ecological future. The media art installation is a temporary, walkable pyramid structure matching the size and shape of the historical pyramid on the square.

    Vera Gärtner, with Live from Plastisphere, makes microplastic pollution in the Alb river visible through very large-format images taken with a scanning electron microscope. Her poetic-scientific approach to local environmental problems is on view at the shop window of the Museum beim Markt and at the fish ladder by the Thomaswehr.

    Antoine Bertin, in 555 Hz, translates deforestation statistics into beats per minute. In the resulting rhythm, several metronomes strike and send out a light signal, creating a physically and temporally experienceable monument to this abstract loss in the Schlossgarten.

    Artist Lucile Schwörer-Merz also works with geodata for her interactive sound installation meteo flux – eine Symphonie der Atmosphäre [a symphony of atmosphere], exhibited in the Fasanengarten. Real-time meteorological data is compared with the 40-year average; deviations are made audible and visible. Depending on the weather and the movement of visitors, her work changes.

    Desiree Kabis and Eveline Vervliet invite a shift in perspective with their installation Through Moss-Colored Glasses. The “moss-colored glasses” announced in the title translate human movements into the language of this often-overlooked lifeform, opening up a queer, non-human view of coexistence and community. The installation can be experienced at the Naturkundemuseum pavilion and at the Regierungspräsidium.

    The duo IRIS-A-MAZ transforms Peter Paul Rubens’ The Fall of the Damned into an endless state of suspension in the Kinemathek. Their video work Himmelssturz, developed specifically for the Phonolux machine, turns the cinema foyer into a threshold between reality and film world, between control and liberation.

    Other works trace military and socio-political imprints in urban space. They connect historical sites with current questions: about visibility, about safe spaces, about possible futures. These artistic interventions make clear that history is not over – it continues to act through infrastructure.

    Isabel Motz, Nis Petersen, and Josefine Pilar Scheu pursue the question of what past shapes our present in 2 Flächen bewegen, 50 km/h, Schritttempo. With their performances and an audio walk, they connect two contrasting Karlsruhe locations: the quiet Alter Flugplatz and the busy Kriegsstraße. Through performative walks and car rides, the military imprints of both places are made visible, and questions about the city’s possible futures are raised.

    Yulia Mashkova and Grisha Mumrikov raise awareness, in Fragile Homes, of our interpersonal coexistence and the instruments of power that organize it. Their projection for the Schlosslichtspiele, along with the sculptures in public space, remind us that real people are involved, and that the paper on which our bureaucracy is built is a natural and finite resource.

    Karolina Sobel addresses queer and feminist visibility as well as the fragility of safe spaces in her video work Soft Signals in the ZKM foyer. The collaborative project was created together with Natia Chikvaidze and Davit Khorbaladze from Tbilisi and takes the Georgian painter Elene Akhvlediani (1898–1975) as its starting point.

    Continuing the exchange between the media art cities of Cali and Karlsruhe that began in 2024, Lehel Lajos and Daniela Vargas further develop their work No Longer Not Yet (2025). At Yvonne Hohner Contemporary, Memoraque shows an installation that seems to stem from a dream, bringing it into a tense interplay of river and echo.

    SangDoo Nam goes a step further, using public space as a stage for new forms of exchange. His installation turns the Kirchplatz St. Stephan into a special pop-up store where people can trade their stories for images. Here, art becomes a social practice beyond museum preservation.

    At studio hö, scholarship holder Isabelle Konrad develops a new visual language for female rage in her transmedia project FURIE. It’s no coincidence that the word “hysteria” comes from the Greek hysterá – womb – and that the Furies of mythology were feared as goddesses of vengeance, not as bringers of justice. FURIE asks what happens to this pent-up energy, and what emerges once it finally claims space. The overall project is conceived as a long-term image and sound atlas that grows beyond the scholarship itself.

    All exhibited works, except Echo einer Ordnung, FURIE, Fragile Homes, Light up Weinbrenner, Memoraque und One way or another, were funded in 2024 and 2025 by the Medienkunst project funding program of UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts Karlsruhe.

    We offer free help to fix your device or garment! We have tools and some supplies to fix most electronics and sewing problems. What we can help with ranges all the way from electrical devices like your vacuum cleaner or fan to electronics like computers and phones, as well as from holes in your jeans to ripped seams on your jacket.

    How? We would appreciate it if you would send us a short mail to [email protected] describing your problem in advance, so we can prepare and potentially bring the appropriate tools. It is also fine if you just drop by unannounced, though.

    Please bring your thing, including everything to reproduce the problem like accessories, power supplies, control units as well as any documentation. If you know what kind of supplies or replacement parts are needed, please bring those as well. If you are coming with a garment feel free to bring any fabric for patches.

    Once you are here you will be guided through the entire repair process by one of our experienced repairers. Don't worry, you do not need any prior skills. If there are any individual steps in the process that are too difficult for you, we will jump in and do them. The goal is however that you not only get something fixed, but also learn how to take matters into your own hands and do your own repairs

    Nafisa (15) lebt in einem traditionellen Baumwolldorf im Sudan. Sie hat Sommerferien und muss mit ihren Freundinnen bei der Baumwollernte ihrer Großmutter helfen. Außerdem ist sie zum ersten Mal verliebt – in einen Jungen aus dem Dorf.

    Ihre Großmutter Al-Sit, die geachtete Matriarchin, hält die Fäden des Dorfs fest in ihren Händen und gibt ihr Wissen an Nafisa weiter.

    Die Ankunft von Nadir, einem jungen sudanstämmigen Geschäftsmann aus dem Ausland, droht das Leben des Dorfs durch neue Technologien im Baumwollanbau zu erschüttern. Nafisas Eltern wittern die Chance, ihre Tochter mit Nadir zu verheiraten und so den Wohlstand der Familie zu vergrößern.

    Hin- und hergerissen zwischen den Forderungen ihrer Familie und ihrem Wunsch nach Unabhängigkeit muss Nafisa ihren eigenen Weg zwischen Tradition und Moderne finden.

    SOMMERFEST "OUT OF ORDER" 2026

    Zum dritten Mal steigt das Atelierfest der Lichtspielsauna – und diesmal läuft's nicht rund. „Out of Order" ist das Thema: Stillstand, Fehler und Unterbrechung nicht als Problem, sondern als künstlerische Haltung. Zwei Tage lang zeigen Künstler*innen Arbeiten in Ausstellung, Performance und Film. Was hängt, hängt mit Absicht.

    Am Samstag klingt der Abend mit DJ Sets aus, am Sonntag gibt es ein Filmprogramm. Das Justice Project ist mit einer Kaffeebar und selbstgebackenem Kuchen dabei – die Spenden gehen direkt an ihre Arbeit. Für das leibliche Wohl sorgen außerdem eine Bar und vegane Bratwurst.

    Gefördert vom Kulturbüro der Stadt Karlsruhe und der Sparkasse Karlsruhe.

    The System Change Camp emerged from the climate justice movement and takes place annually to provide a space for encounters, networking, education, skillshares, strategic discussions and cultural programs.

    The organisers of the System Change Camp are a loose group of individuals. We are committed to being anti-capitalist, anti-colonial, anti-authoritarian, anti-ableist and anti-patriarchal.

    What drives us

    We are driven by a good life for everyone in solidarity with one another and intact ecosystems.
    Our main task is to organize an annual camp. These camps are meant to serve as a networking platform for different groups to spread our political values.

    To ensure that people feel welcome here and are well integrated, we want to offer various services, e.g. for people who are joining us for the first time. We want to work together in an inclusive and non-discriminatory way in order to offer people who are affected by the aforementioned forms of discrimination, as well as people with no previous experience, as safe a space as possible to thrive. We want to practice living and working together in a way that would be possible in a world in which a good life exists for everyone.

    Die Bundesregierung hat noch in diesem Sommer vor, unseren hart über Generationen erkämpften Sozialstaat massiv zu verschlechtern. anstatt Geld ins System zu geben, werden Leistungen zu Lasten der Bevölkerung gestrichen. Keinen Zahnersatz, keine Krebsvorsorge mehr. Verschlechterung der Finanzierung vieler sozialer Leistungen und Einrichtungen, was dazu fürhren wird, dass viele Einrichtungen Personal entlassen müssen oder sogar schließen. Dies ist nur der erste Aufschlag für das Gesundheitssystem. Weitere "Reformen" sollen kommen und zwar bei der Rente, der Pflege und auch bei der Arbeitszeit.

    Hamza Abu Howidy is coming to Karlsruhe to read from his book "Muscheln am Strand von Gaza: Erinnerungen an ein zerstörtes Land"*.

    “Sometimes I feel like the loneliest Palestinian in the world.”
    Hamza Abu Howidy tells us about growing up in Gaza in the 2000s, about his family – particularly his father, who taught him the great lessons in life whilst collecting sea shells – but also about the bloody clashes between Fatah and Hamas, right on his doorstep, and just how much life in Gaza was shaped by terror. Years later, he protested against Hamas and was arrested, tortured and forced to flee. Today, he is one of the most important political voices from the Palestinian exile community, yet he refuses to be co-opted by either the pro-Israeli or pro-Palestinian sides. A deeply personal book that is both a message of hope and a plea for a democratic and peaceful resolution to the Middle East conflict.

    Hamza Abu Howidy, born in Gaza in 1997, studied economics and administration at the Islamic University of Gaza and began to protest Hamas rule at an early age. As part of the "We Want to Live” opposition movement, he was arrested and tortured on several occasions. In 2023, he fled to Germany via Egypt and Greece. He advocates for non-violent approaches to the Middle East conflict in German-language and international media as a freelance writer and speaker.

    This reading continues the ongoing event series “From A Whisper to A Scream: Voices of Protest and Dissent, Acts of Silencing and Models of Resistance” and will be held in English. It will be followed by a Q&A session. Entry is free.

    Hamza Abu Howidy kommt nach Karlsruhe um aus seinem Buch "Muscheln am Strand von Gaza: Erinnerungen an ein zerstörtes Land"* zu lesen.

    »Manchmal fühle ich mich wie der einsamste Palästinenser auf der Welt.«
    Hamza Abu Howidy erzählt uns vom Aufwachsen im Gaza der 2000er Jahre, von seiner Familie, besonders seinem Vater, der ihm beim Muschelsammeln die großen Lektionen des Lebens beigebracht hat, aber auch von den blutigen Kämpfen zwischen Fatah und Hamas, direkt vor seiner Haustür, und wie sehr das Leben in Gaza von Terror geprägt war. Jahre später protestiert er gegen die Hamas und wird festgenommen, gefoltert und muss fliehen. Heute zählt er zu den wichtigsten politischen Stimmen  aus der palästinensischen Exilgemeinde, dabei lässt er sich weder von pro-israelischer noch pro-palästinensischer Seite vereinnahmen. Ein sehr persönliches Buch, das Hoffnung und Plädoyer zugleich für eine demokratische und friedliche Lösung des Nahostkonflikts ist.

    Hamza Abu Howidy, geboren 1997 in Gaza, studierte Wirtschaft und Verwaltung an der Islamischen Universität Gaza und engagierte sich früh gegen die Hamas-Herrschaft. Als Teil der Protestbewegung »Wir wollen leben« wurde er mehrfach verhaftet und gefoltert. 2023 floh er über Ägypten und Griechenland nach Deutschland. Als freier Autor und Redner tritt er in deutschsprachigen und internationalen Medien für gewaltfreie Ansätze im Nahostkonflikt ein.

    Die Lesung ist Teil der fortlaufenden Veranstaltungsreihe „From A Whisper to A Scream: Voices of Protest and Dissent, Acts of Silencing and Models of Resistance“ und wird auf Englisch stattfinden. Im Anschluss gibt es die Möglichkeit, Fragen zu stellen. Der Eintritt ist kostenlos

    Das studentische Kino Kino im Blauen Salon lädt vom 12.–15. Juni sowie 18.–22. Juni 2026 zum siebten Open Air Kino auf der Wiese vor der Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe ein. Neun Sommerabende lang verwandelt sich der Grünstreifen zwischen Hochschule und Bundesanwaltschaft in einen atmosphärischen Kinosaal unter freiem Himmel.

    Im Zentrum des diesjährigen Programms stehen Debütfilme prägender Regisseur:innen der Filmgeschichte, die in eindrucksvoller 35mm-Projektion auf einer aufblasbaren Großleinwand gezeigt werden. Das Open Air Kino bleibt damit seiner analogen Tradition treu und bringt Filmgeschichte in ihrer ursprünglichen Form zum Leuchten.

    We offer free help to fix your device or garment! We have tools and some supplies to fix most electronics and sewing problems. What we can help with ranges all the way from electrical devices like your vacuum cleaner or fan to electronics like computers and phones, as well as from holes in your jeans to ripped seams on your jacket.

    How? We would appreciate it if you would send us a short mail to [email protected] describing your problem in advance, so we can prepare and potentially bring the appropriate tools. It is also fine if you just drop by unannounced, though.

    Please bring your thing, including everything to reproduce the problem like accessories, power supplies, control units as well as any documentation. If you know what kind of supplies or replacement parts are needed, please bring those as well. If you are coming with a garment feel free to bring any fabric for patches.

    Once you are here you will be guided through the entire repair process by one of our experienced repairers. Don't worry, you do not need any prior skills. If there are any individual steps in the process that are too difficult for you, we will jump in and do them. The goal is however that you not only get something fixed, but also learn how to take matters into your own hands and do your own repairs

    Helpers! To help us with offering this, we are looking for experienced DIY enthusiasts who would like to help others with repairs and may have access to special tools. If you are interested, please contact [email protected] directly.

    Why? Repairing is not only cheaper and more sustainable than buying new, it's also more fun! That is why we, the Sustainable Transformation Working Group (Arbeitskreis Nachhaltige Transformation), are starting this repair café together with the AKK.

    In the era of perpetual sensory overload, Float Sessions dedicates itself to a practice that has regained considerable value in recent years — listening as an active form of perception that extends far beyond the act of merely hearing. The series invites audiences not to passively consume sound, but to actively follow its depths — as an immersive practice suspended between concentration, openness and transcendence.

    Across three evenings, iterative ßpace, Augmented Research and Umpolen present a collaborative programme offering a broad snapshot of post-ambient practices — spanning the space between the unpredictable character of field recordings and carefully curated DJ sets to initiate an introspective process of multidimensional depth.

    On Sunday, 24 May, for the 6th edition of Iterative ßpace, we are excited to welcome Eric Frye and Michael Flora.

    Michael Flora is an artist living and working in the Santa Cruz Mountains, California. His work explores the emergent phenomena that occurs through non-deterministic and autopoietic processes. Informed by architecture, systems, perceptual psychology, visual art, and computer music, his work encompasses sound, installation and performance.

    Eric Frye (Editions Mego, 29 Speedway, Futura Resistenza) is an American composer and artist. He is known for his solo performance and installation work - an exploration of the dissociative and psychoactive functions of sound and image. An utterly unique, surreal blend of song sketches and experimental electronics, Frye's music carries the haze of a half-remembered hallucination: palimpsestic, illusory, yet strangely familiar.

    The evening will be supported by Daniel Höpfner, Jia Liu, Michele Samarotto, and DJ Mar.

    Iterative ßpace is a concert series in Karlsruhe featuring experimental algorithmic and live computer music. It started in 2023 with a focus on live coding and aims to include diverse practices of electronic music and sound performance.

    Ausstellung zu ME/CFS

    Am 09.05.2026 um 13 Uhr findet auf dem Friedrichsplatz in Karlsruhe die LiegendDemo, organisiert von der Initiative #LiegendDemo Karlsruhe @liegenddemo.karlsruhe statt. Sie soll auf die Situation von Menschen mit ME/CFS, Long Covid und Post Vac aufmerksam machen.

    Auch ab 13 Uhr ist im Space die Ausstellung zu ME/CFS mit Beiträgen von Betroffenen. Wir wollen den Space als Ort des sich Informierens und Austauschens öffnen, es ist dazu gedacht sich im Anschluss an die Demo weiter Aufzuklären über ME/CFS und chronische Krankheiten.

    Wichtig!

    Der Innenraum des ßpace wird nur unter Covid Regulierungen zu betreten sein. Wir haben FFP2 Masken vor Ort.

    Wir streamen auch die Demoreden live vom Friedrichsplatz ab 13 Uhr.

    ME/CFS ist eine schwere neuroimmunologische Multisystemerkrankung, für die es derzeit keine Heilung gibt. In Deutschland sind rund 650.000 Menschen an ME/CFS erkrankt, darunter ca. 80.000 Kinder und Jugendliche. Die Lebensqualität gehört zu den niedrigsten aller bekannten Erkrankungen und wird oft mit der von Menschen mit Krebs oder AIDS im Endstadium verglichen.
