My 1st grader insists on wearing stained and torn clothes to school. It's inspired me to doggrel:

Thou wastrel with thine holey shirt and hose,
a breezy drought follows wheree’re thou goest,
as if blesst with summer zephyrs all year round
But blows thine elders’ patience to the ground.
