I’ve recently been listening to the music of Eva Cassidy #evacassidy — a gifted singer/musician who died more than 25 years ago at age 33. (so how does she have a hashtag? QED)
Listening, I hadn’t known she was deceased, but now, when I listen, it’s so much more devastating. who could she have become? sadness overwhelms every joyous note.

The new recording of Eva's rendition of "Time After Time" on the new recording is a killer.
Unfortunately, they did not include in the new recording her version of "Over the Rainbow" which IMO was far better than Judy's.

#EvaCassidy was a relatively unknown jazz/pop singer who died at only 33 in 1996. She had a stellar voice but she never got much attn bc she mostly played locally in the DC area & was backed by a small indie label that never gave her recordings much distribution.
I have ALL of her old recordings & a new one has just been issued that strips her voice from old recordings and backs it w/the London Symphony Orchestra. It's truly remarkable.
