  1. There is an interesting comparison to be made here with #EnemyoftheWorld We have very similar stories and yet the people deceived here feel like they have far more agency than those in Salamanders bunker #DoctorWho #DinosaurInvasion

  5. The final scene doesn't work for me. Visually it is poor but more than that. The Doctor says "We're going to put you outside, Salamander. No friends, no safety, nothing. You'll run, but they'll catch up with you" That's a much better ending for him #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  8. This whole final sequence is very effective and shows how far the series has come in such a short time. Compare this to the confrontation in the Chase where Hartnell fights his own stunt double (in extreme close up) #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  11. I don't think we ever really trust Giles Kent (because the Doctor clearly never does) and yet all of his final scenes work well. His level of involvement in events still works as a twist which feels earned #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  14. I haven't really said much about Astrid but she really is excellent (and would have made a good companion). She is actually the hero of the story who finds and rescues the people the Doctor didn't even know existed #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  18. After 6 episodes of people trying to find evidence against Salamander, the Doctor and Bruce are finally convinced by requisition papers showing 30 people need feeding in a base of 6. A dictator toppled by a catering bill feels quite fitting somehow #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  21. And we are back to Evil again with the Doctor manipulating his companions emotions. This time he plays Jamie and Victoria (to the point she nearly strikes him) just to make a point to Bruce. I'm just not entirely sure what that point is... #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  24. "You must have been a nasty little boy" Benik really dials it up for this performance which is truly creepy. The threat and sadistic undertones feel a little out of place in #DoctorWho it still feels like we have wandered onto a different show #EnemyoftheWorld

  27. Salamander is able to convince Swann that the population are hideously deformed in mind and body by radiation and yet are going on luxury cruises. Just how gullible are these people? #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  30. "Honest and reasonable" is the Doctor assessment of Bruce and I have to say I agree. I don't know why, he has done nothing but threaten everyone in sight and yet there is something oddly trustworthy about him #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  33. The Salamander in the bunker feels an entirely different character to the Salamander we had before. Troughton in fact gets 3 roles to play and they each feel completely different #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  36. When you have 6 part stories you need a pivot to avoid a lull in the storytelling and this is a masterclass in how it is done. Just when you think you know where you are it introduces a whole new story (and one which did have groundwork laid early on) #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  39. Benik has turned from annoying administrator to sadist very quickly. I didn't remember just has unhinged he comes across in these scenes. I'm also not entirely sure what his actual role is that authorises him to kill people (I may have just missed it) #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  42. This episode almost feels like the Doctor has stumbled into another show (there is no Jamie or Victoria) as Kent shows he isn't that different from Salamander after all. Still what is with the character names we have Fariah, Ferrier and Fedorin. #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

  45. Fariah is the standout star of this episode. There is just enough backstory, but I wish they had developed her a little more. We don't need to know what he used to blackmail her but I would have liked a little more history to the relationship #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld
