It's entertaining listening to both readers doing the different voices for the alien delegates in this story.

The Doctor here is very reluctant to get involved. Its never explained whether this is because he would be changing history (Salamander is an important historical figure). Its the exact opposite of #IceWarriors where the Doctor railed against inaction #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

We quickly cut to the departing TARDIS at the end of the story and I can't help but wonder how it managed to stand itself up again... #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

So the Ice Warriors, who dislike the heat, are literally roasted alive and then incinerated. A fairly horrific end to a story that has felt all over the place. My least favourite story of the Troughton Era so far #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

This episode very much reminded me of a classic series version of Kill the Moon. The Doctor just stands in the corner and watches and leaves the humans with what should be an impossible choice. #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

Walters has a complete mental breakdown at the start of the episode and decides that the best way to save them is to destroy all of their equipment. It is all very strange, as if the production team feel they need to go to extremes to make their point #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

The gravitron on the moon could affect world weather. Surely that could have been helpful in this situation? It was only a couple of stories ago, I would have loved a Moonbase reference (we got one in Tomb) #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

I'm not sure what to make of Victoria. In the last few episodes she has been damsel in distress, standing around and screaming but other times she is proactive and inquisitive. Almost as if the writers cant decide what they want her to be #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

CLENT: Bet you didn't think you'd have ice monsters and things like that to deal with when you volunteered for the job, did you? Well, did you?
WALTERS: I didn't volunteer.
CLENT: Ah, yes. Well, good man, anyway.
Both actors just play this scene perfectly #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

I'm not sure if it was just the version I watched (ITVX) but all of the scenes of Jamie being pulled through the snow were very blurry and disjoined. Not sure if this was a deliberate choice or not #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

As cliffhangers go the Doctor walking into an air lock and facing death because he refuses to give his name and tell them what he wants is a choice #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

Clent is my favourite part of the story. He refuses to fall into any of the shows stereotypes. He is labelled here as having a circuit board for a heart but I think he is just socially awkward and this is played brilliantly #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

The idea of a machine that allows you to create any chemical on demand is quite cool. I love that you literally dial in the chemical composition using a rotary dial. #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

I really like the Ice Warrior design. They have evolved a little over the years but I think there is a fundamental reason that they remain very similar to this. They could have come across as lumbering but for me anyway they just work #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

After being held prisoner for 2 episodes Victoria manages to escape. She then proceeds to stand a couple of meters outside of the doors instead of trying to get away. There is just no logical reason for this. What is she doing? #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

What does Brian Hayles have against computers? He takes every opportunity to criticise and even changes the Doctors personality to accommodate his views. It is starting to irritate me more than is probably reasonable #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

All I can think about when I look at the animated version of the Ice Warrior is @playmobil …There are some very odd musical choices in this scene as well. Almost like we are at a fairground #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

I am not loving all of the luddite, tomato worship and the suggestion that scientists destroyed the world by making enough food to feed the population nonsense. We get enough anti-science from the comics and annuals without the TV show indulging #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

If you are going to create an Artificial Intelligence (the World Computer no less) and give it control of most scientific operations, why give it such a ridiculously difficult voice to understand. Not what you need in a crisis #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

I'm enjoying the banter between Jamie and Victoria as he suggest she erm, dresses less conservatively. Although there is a whole new element to this if she was supposed to be 14...(I don't accept that she was by the way) #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

The World Computer eliminated famine by creating artificial food. No crops and farming means no plants. No plants means no carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and therefore a new ice age. Sounds like good science to me. Solution to global warming right there #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

The Doctor has an immediate dislike of the computer before he even enters the room, something we havent really seen before. Either he knows what is going to happen and is just manipulating events again or it is just Brian Hayles importing his own prejudice #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

Don't the TARDIS doors usually open inwards...still there are some nice comedy moments here. The TARDIS crew just feel like they get along and despite everything are having fun. #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

We are introduced to project commander Michael Gove...sorry leader Clent. I like the set design and the costumes in this story. There is a nice contrast between the 18th Century house and futuristic computer room #DoctorWho #IceWarriors

At the end of #AbominableSnowmen we get a specially filmed trailer for the next story #IceWarriors There is an animation of this on the DVD and we get to be introduced to the characters in specially filmed in-character segments rather than episode footage #DoctorWho
