Erstpartie #Emberleaf mit der Tochter. Sie kam gut zurecht, verlor aber dennoch mit etwas Abstand. Das Spiel liegt lt. BGG ungefähr auf #Iki Komplexität; das spielt sie fast besser als ich. Für‘s nächste Spiel: bevor man zwei Gefallen mit Fokus auf blaue Banner nimmt, sollte man wissen, dass die sehr selten und schwer(er) zu besiegen sind. Da habe ich 17 Punkte liegen lassen… 🤪 Aber: sehr schönes Spiel mit viel Flexibilität, was man zu Punkten macht… Dank Gefallenkarten. #brettspiele #boardgames

Played a few games of #EmberLeaf over the last 2 days and really like it! It's a eurogame with some deck-building and clever card-placement mechanics.

I really appreciate how they structured some of the scoring: instead of the usual X points for biggest city, Y points for most money, *almost* all the points are collected in-game but you also collect end-game goals as you play -- checking if you hit those goals are the only end-game math.

Recommend it if you're interested something with lots of fun moving parts and engine building without feeling as cumbersome or fiddly as something like Terra Mystica (though with a little more luck involved due to cards).
