Two lists:

1. All AA batters who are 23 or younger, has at least 100 plate appearances, at least a 12% walk rate, no more than a 20% strikeout rate.

2. All AA pitchers who are 23 or younger, faced at least 100 batters, K-BB% at least 20% or higher, and Swinging Strike Rate at least 16%.

These are the best of the best at AA. Many of these names you know. The rest? Grab ‘em now!

When I originally wrote about Hayden Wesneski in October, 2021, he was a Yankeees pitching prospect in search of a rotation slot. 16 months, and one trade to the Cubs later, and he got his rotation slot all right.

@MiLBAnalysis @baseball nice breakdown of where he stands after an amazing year. I’d say he’ll come up after drey Jameson and ryne Nelson this year but could easily fly past them in value once in the majors.

His year last year reminded me of ubaldo Jimenez in colorado. Unbelievablely good in an unbelievablely difficult environment.

The attached chart shows his adjustment to Triple-A, and when you find out where he pitched, it will blow your mind how amazing those stats are.
