One of the pitchers the Giants picked up, Miguel Mendez, is shown in the video blowing away batters on strike 3. A lot of heat. I see occasional finesse, which he's going to want to work on as he faces more experienced players going forward. Looks like an excellent prospect!

The Lake County Captains and Reading Fightin' Phils streams run dead air at game time.
The Vancouver Canadians don't stream to the USA.
The Oklahoma City Comets stream repeats someone saying "You're tuned to a radio station that is playing a Major League baseball game. Due to league restrictions in your area..."

Canadians are our local minor league team, an affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. They play in the Northwest League.

One particularly annoying #MiLB team, the Hartford Yard Goats (Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) requires a logon to listen to their games. I wonder how that's workin' out for them -- nobody in town is listening to them on the radio, and they have to pay for a password? Yeah, no. ("Hobbies cost money; interests are free." George Carlin.)
I guess I'll have to score one of their games when they play a more, as it were, open source team.

The majority of affiliated #MiLB teams either have a deal with a local terrestial AM or FM sports station, or they stream directly at game time through the MiLB site. Some of the terrestial stations have easy to hack streaming URLs, some can only be listened to via the station's web page --mostly Fox Sports and I Heart stations, though I've managed to ferret out a couple direct streaming URLs for those. It will take a better hacker than I am to get at the others.

Mick Gillispie and Richie Juliano were the announcers on WKCE for the Knoxville Smokies, and they were a couple of knuckleheads (RJ: "I didn't like school." MG: "Yeah, you've mentioned that before." RJ: "I didn't like it.") so after about an inning and a half of that scintillating repartee, I switched stations to the Rocket City Trash Panda's coverage on WZZN. Announcer Josh Caray was much, much better. Sadly, the Pandas lost 8-7. #MiLB #Baseball
