  1. And there goes Booktopia. Where do we go for physical books now, if we want to avoid Amazon?

Didn't realise they were also Anguish and Robbery... Dymocks is still around, right?

  6. Are there any #Australians with a #Dymocks member's account getting bunch of scam/junk emails? Or is it just me?
And how can I lodge a complaint to Dymocks about this? I've probably made some reports with ScamWatch already.

I know they're from Dymocks because I use wildcard addresses for anything who isn't a person that asks for my email.

  7. #Dymocks has released their postmortem: dymocks.com.au/customer-notice

EDIT: The short version is that Dymocks decided to migrate their loyalty program to a new provider, the new provider stored the incoming data on a web server before they imported the data into their system, the keys to that Web server were stolen, and so criminals could access the customer data stored on it. Great job guys.

Dymocks has taken the opportunity to review which data they collect and store, and they're removing things like date of birth from their records, which is a good start.

  8. The #Dymocks Data Breaches has caught up because I'm now getting emails I've signed up to adult dating websites...

    God this is frustrating

  9. Dymocks has taken immediate action following the breach. The company has notified all relevant authorities about the incident and is working closely with them in their investigation.
