While exploring New Orlean’s French quarter this morning I happened upon a used book store on Decatur Street. On entering I was warmly met by that unique aroma that all such places have - the aroma of memories of carefree summer days and nostalgic fondness for bedside stories read long ago. After visiting each of the shop’s four stories I came across a copy of “A Confederacy of Dunces”, whose protagonist’s statue I had passed on Canal Street not a half hour earlier. #nola #toole #dunces
