The price of our home internet from Spectrum Internet is going up $10 a month to $100 a month for 500 Mbps service.
When we opened the account in 6/2021 we were paying $50 a month.
Crazy.

13/10 sailing today. 10ish knots of wind out of the southwest most of the day, with a few gusts of 15. It was the first time I was actually warm on Lake Superior. We did about 30 miles. 15 reaching, then beating back to the start.
I also replaced the aged tachometer in the boat with a fancy VDO tach that includes an hour meter. Figuring out the wiring was annoying but I even got the backlight working with the original Yanmar instrument panel light switch. And I put the first hour on the inboard that officially counts. The motor is 40 years old, I'm sure it has seen a few more hours than I've logged ;-), but now I can start following something like a proper hour-based maintenance schedule at least.
Everything feels like it is finally coming together with this boat. Which seems about right, since I'm shopping for something a little bigger. But if I am 'stuck' with this one for a few years I will not be sad at all...it really does sail well, and I've rebuilt about everything on it so am pretty confident in its ability to handle bad weather.

The thunder cells that just passed over were amazing in terms of cloud to cloud lightning. I realize this isn't a great climate for a skylight but it would be amazing for those.
