day 31 of #dronecember - this final entry is admittedly self-indulgent at over an hour (exactly 5 hours total of dronecembers according to Soundcloud's math which i do not 100% trust). it's my attempt to do the cerebral/denser/darker drone combined with the lighter/airy/sublime entries. idk that it does any of this well but i didn't hate it on playback.

day 29 of #dronecember - i finally managed something of a quieter/lighter drone today. 1st take was pretty different but still incorporated the pulsing effect, but i think this one displays more emotion & depth.

day 28 of #dronecember - longest one yet i believe....stretched the definition of 'drone' a touch today & programmed octaved notes within the chosen chord to trigger sometimes, sometimes not...i think the final track stays pretty close to the intent tho. overall a bit harsher/dirtier than i'd set out for but it's what was working so that's what stayed.

day 20 of #dronecember - just when it starts feeling easy to crank out an enjoyable thing each day it starts to slip away into more difficult territory. i still think the result was good for today, but took up more time than expected. i'm proud of the overall shape of the track today tho, i'm beginning to feel the time behind & ahead as i'm writing (the non-Ableton tracks are all performed/recorded mostly or entirely without plan or measure. just going by instinct).

day 19 of #dronecember - leaning into the cold wet vibes of the day where i am. messy & sloshy, hopefully a little bit of the implied dull wind in there comes across to the listener. still on hardware (Novation Peak + external effects). yes, the last quarter of the track is just a fadeout delayed/reverbed tail: i think it's great.

day 17 of #dronecember - back playing with some hardware (Peak is the source synth here) & really liking today's result. maybe my favorite of the month? just finished it ~20 minutes ago tho so who knows.

day 16 of #dronecember - stretching the definiton of #drone a bit perhaps, but it's unique in my entries so far. harsh & pulsing but not quite noise imo. crafted in Ableton.

day 13 of #dronecember - using Ableton again today with a big emphasis on cheap digital distortion/degradation sounds. for better or worse, i liked a lot of the tones here, ended up more dramatic than expected tho.
