Driving home from taking some photos and saw the clouds going pink. Hurried inside when I got there and popped the drone up to get a shot of the Seattle skyline.

Winter is coming.
In the Cascades the trees are mostly bare, with only patches and pops of color remaining. Snow is beginning to collect on the peaks and slowly advance down the slopes.
Late in the day today, I decided to drive out Highway 2. We'd been having on and off sun all day, and I thought maybe I'd catch a sunset in the mountains with some red clouds.
It didn't turn out that way, but I flew the drone and got this shot, which I'm reasonably happy with.
In other news: My store now accepts customers from, and ships to, Canada! Or it should, if I have everything configured right. If you're in Canada and run into issues, let me know.

I spent my weekend getting out and enjoying the sun and the autumn color, visiting places both new to me and familiar.
The familiar place was Mount Si, which is the mountain partly responsible for me moving to Washington in the first place. I'd flown up to Seattle for a job interview and, afterwards, had a limited amount of time to explore the area. I ended up down in Snoqualmie, caught my first good view of Mount Si, and knew that I wanted to live here.
The new place was the aptly named High Steel Bridge, out on the Olympic Peninsula. It crosses a steep gorge over the South Fork Skokomish River and the view from the span is pretty great. I brought my drone so that I could include the bridge in a shot.
I hope you all had a great weekend, and are getting the opportunity to see some autumn colors in your area.

Okay. #DJI. What the fuck.
Of all the things I may have been expecting to see on a #DJImini3pro's SD card, a fucking SRT file (SubRip, it's a subtitle format) was quite possibly the last. What I most definitely was not expecting to see even with that, was a 30Hz telemetry feed showing position and camera information. Why is this in a fucking subtitle?!?!

Вернули мне мой многострадальный дрон. Починить не смогли. Мастер говорит, что просмотрел всю плату под микроскопом - ничего не нашел. Похоже или микроразрыв дорожки или проблема внутри микросхемы. В общем, он летает, но не снимает.
Штош. Начинаю копить на новый, а этот будет в качестве тренировочного.
