  1. #DistributeAid is preparing a shipment of 500.000 USD worth of aid to #Gaza and you can help make it happen. Everything you donate up to their goal of 10.000 USD will be matched. So this is a great opportunity to boost your contribution!

  2. This is pretty wild, because #Skiff clearly started as a #Notion competitor (and I evaluated it as a replacement to use at #DistributeAid), and now they sold to Notion and will shut down.

  5. #JSONata 2 has switched from a synchronous to an asynchronous API (which brings speed improvements), but now I am looking for the idiomatic #React way to deal with a lot of async calls in render functions.

    Stuff like this:

    - {!isHidden(response) && <Response />}

    this wont work with `await isHidden`. So do I need to put all of these expressions in `useEffect`?

  6. Merged a big PR for #GivingTuesday that's coming up next week. In case you want to donate some cash to a charitable organization with a great cause (making donated goods available to those in need), have a look at distributeaid.org/ ...

    Happy to hear your feedback on what can be improved, either here or over on our GitHub page: github.com/distributeaid/distr

  7. #GitHub launches a new US$20k 10 week cash stipend for #OpenSource developers: github.blog/2022-11-09-an-open

    Also congrats to CodeSee (codesee.io/) for being the first company in the M12 batch to receive funding. They have been helping #DistributeAid out a lot!
