While the shit shower that Adams has pulled down on himself is playing out, it is worth considering the source of the survey he was referring in his rant.

Rasmussen who produced the survey that Adams referenced.

Rasmussen have form for poor methodology and and analysis. This 'study' only contacted 1000 people and there is no info on how these respondents were selected.
The questions appeared designed to elicit results that would make good headlines in right wing papers rather than a serious attempt to gauge opinions in a broad population.

In a meaningful survey I would expect the results to be broken down by gender, age, income and geography.

It was a token attempt to provide numbers to throw on the bonfire to stir things up and is NOT a meaningful survey in any way.

Rasmussen Reports is known to be a conservative-leaning polling group.
There have been multiple criticisms of their methods.
