The ATM dip stick is ABS, so it's pretty hard to bend it exactly straight, but this should work.

WTF?!? The automatic transmission fluid dip stick looks like a pretzel!
Presumably the shock to the drive shaft when the cable got wrapped around it, kicked the transmission hard enough to twist up the dip stick as well as breaking the shaft seal hose clamp? 🤔
There still seems to be fluid at about the right level.
Should I put of back in? Maybe I should cut it short so it can't break off in the gears?

Why does my sea strainer filter basket have half a cylindrical piece is stone in it? The other one has a similar stone too. It looks deliberate.

Found a mystery spring in engine room bilge, but have no idea where it came from. It has made me very nervous to start the engine.
