They had 13 deliveries and admitted 27 patients on the first day.

It is not funded exclusively by donation, but a very large portion of its funding comes from fund drives like this one (this, I believe, is the largest one.)
You can, of course, also just donate anytime. But right now, for the next little while, you can get a cool little doodad for doing so. These coins are also made by Shire Post, which if you haven't heard of it, is a very cool source for the very nerdiest trinkets out there.
