More than 500 U.S. #citizens have been detained by #immigration agents
The government doesn’t track how often immigration agents detain U.S. citizens. So ProPublica did. We’ve tallied more than 500 Americans held against their will in #warrantless arrests and #detentions during President Donald Trump’s second term. We counted anyone held against their will for any period of time — whether handcuffed, held at gunpoint or otherwise prevented from leaving by immigration agents. Collectively, the cases we’ve documented show that as the administration has relentlessly pursued immigrants, it has run roughshod over the #constitutional #rights of citizens, too, and on a scale not seen in generations
