I performed the ritual of Choosing A Book for my holiday yesterday evening, standing in front of my book wall perusing the ones I still haven't read, and 'feel' like now in my life is the time for them. Proulx is the chosen one. I ended up with more, of course, and am still reading Murdoch, so this is the new reading pile.
