@mpjgregoire My take on a humanities degree:
- In your 20s: ask the engineer how they'd like their latte.
- In your 30s: work in the cubicle next to the engineer.
- In your 40s: invite the engineer into your office for their quarterly performance review.
In the end, as you rise up the ladder, all jobs end up being mainly about communication (proposal and grant writing, plans, shareholder relations, etc.etc). A humanities degree doesn't give you an easy start, but the skills you acquire give you a lot of room to grow once you finally get a foothold, and they're relatively future-proof (as much as anything can be these days)
