First payment for #Deel’s corporate espionage plot against Rippling was paid through a #Revolut account. Subsequent payments were made using crypto (ethereum), because the CEO of Deel believed (incorrectly) such payments would “leave no trace”.

When they got caught the CEO of Deel told the spy to destroy his electronic devices and offered to relocate them to #Dubai.

I would bet an enormous amount of money that any HR/payroll companies like Deel that engage in corporate espionage and offer to relocate people to Dubai are also laundering money for #Russia and/or Iran.

Как вывести деньги с Deel

Цифровая HR -платформа Deel, через которую компании могут нанять специалиста из другой страны и оплатить его услуги, а сотрудники и фрилансеры могут работать с крупными международными компаниями и получать выплаты, с начала 2024 года ограничила способы вывода со своих счетов. А именно: убрала возможность вывода средств в криптовалюты и запретила выводы на счета третьих лиц (владелец счета вывода должен быть тот же, что и владелец аккаута Deel). Разберемся, что с этим можно сделать и можно ли россиянину продолжить работу через Deel.

if you have a long term contract (as a freelancer, not as a temporary employee) through #Deel, you need to be careful with terminating your contract.

The system and my contract said that termination from either side need a 10 days notice period. So to quit on the 21st, I set the termination date on the 11th and informed the client separately as well. I thought that will be it and I'll continue to be paid till the 21st.

However, it turned out that the client was allowed to then terminate the contract immediately so my last day was 11th. I complained to Deel about it but they didn't see an issue even.

Now even though I was robbed of the 10 days of pay, I'm thinking of this more as a blessing: I can work on zbus and relax a bit before my next job.

However, I can imagine this being a huge problem for others so I thought I should post about it.

Does anyone have any experience with #Deel, #Remofirst, or any other #EOR & #GlobalPayroll provider?

Hiring someone full-time outside of Belgium is tough, using an EOR seems the ideal solution. And if they also provide a full payroll solution for our local employees, all the better!

But the difference in monthly price per EOR employee between Deel (600$) and Remofirst (200$) is quite big. Too big to just ignore.
