In good spirits today. It was our annual a/c maintenance, so now the blowing is much better. It had apparently bunged up good in the past year, which. I thought it might be the case. So yeah, got ALL THE DRAUGHT blowing on me, which, bliss.
I also had an Etsy order -- which spouse is taking to a postbox 'cause he's leaving the house to take Mum to get her new glasses. It was probably the fastest I ever packed an order to make sure it was ready for him, ha ha. But yes, it was one of the disability pride dice necklaces, which I'm especially pleased with. That's two this month, which... more than most months lately on sales in general. Such is the way when the company store (Amazon) crushes everything beneath it.
((and yet, I cannae quit it. Alas. I admire my sister who has.))
Right. Back to games-and-yarn, and cheekily hoping spouse brings me a baked good. I mean, he's gonna be right next door to the bakery, and Mum usually insists on buying treats. xD

Spouse has apparently finished the storyline, but as he himself said, his style of play means he's got hundreds of hours left. xD Me, on the other hand... I am awful about finishing games. I'll get right up to the end and just like... get bored? And then start over from the beginning again when I next come around to it.
So of course, for now, dicking around grinding an area until I get bored and go dick around doing another thing. It is the way.

There's a local river festival that's a big do, so they're going with their friends. BUT -- one friend cannot make it! So they made everyone a shirt with the absent friend on it (with her blessing and picture choice). I'm delighted.

So yes, 19 years married. All good! We enjoy each other's company, we make each other laugh, etc. The family is going out for a meal, and otherwise spouse and I have spent our day playing 'Palworld' (solo, naturally xD).

Nothing in particular to report. Work has been done for awhile for the day, and so here comes a 4 day weekend. Mondays, of course, I'm off anyways, but we're off tomorrow for our anniversary. Will I wax sentimental about it tomorrow? Who knows, ha ha.
For now, continued Palworld/Victoria 3 + knitting. And petting cats; Vivi has decided he needs to be on my chair or me for the time being. Fair enough.

The joys of autistic children. We had a call from the school to let us know our youngest hadn't eaten anything today. Whups. She was out the door in a rush and forgot to grab breakfast, and she may or may not have made a lunch to take in and didn't. Apparently she's been not bringing in her lunch recently, which. Food is provided, honest! xD I think the tl;dr is next year (this year ending on Friday) is that we cough up for school dinners next year to make sure she eats something. But yeah, another habit lil autism brain isn't wanting to turn into a habit. She'll figure out some cope eventually probably.
(and in the interim, I can be pleased the autism centre at her school considers her a full fledged member, even if she isn't quite yet on paper)
Past that, trying to step back from being annoyed at someone in a couple of my Discords. He's a 50-something cishet white male, who has straight-up used 'I'm autistic' at least once for his behaviour online. I think I've run out of steam of being able to bop him on the head about his behaviour and getting a polite response, so I've put him on ignore. But preferably, I'd rather he not be pushy and demanding and presumptive and ignoring the owners of the Discords. ¬¬
Right. Onward, upward. xD

And by that, I mean more Palworld, ha ha. I've taken a page from spouse and made a big flat platform to fill my base space, and made a second floor. He's also helped me figure out how to align stuff; I knew there was an option, but I couldn't get it to work. So got my main base, and I've got my ore/wood/ranch base set up. I might move the ore parts to a third base, but I think I'll wander around a bit more before I think about that.
But anyways. Enjoying my alone time. Even if I don't do anything special with it, it's a balm to my soul.

But yeah... I accidentally picked a male voice for my female Trainer, so I'm having sheer delight at her very masculine GUR ARGH noises. xD
Anyhoos, what else. The heat wave rolls on. If I'm honest, it's gone from heat wave to just like... scorching summer. I mean, we're mid-July, so why would we get a cool spell this side of September? As long as it's not too bad when we're on holiday the other side of town...

Eldest has prom today, as the traditional end of school disco has been replaced with. They bought themselves a pretty dress, and as far as I know, nobody is really bothering with dates -- it's more a friends chill thing. Again, I think. I should probably ask, ha ha. And anyways, it's level up on my prom, as food is provided.
Next week is a short week, because our wedding anniversary is next Friday. 19 years of marriage, and we're still going very strongly. We are pragmatic folx rather than romantic, but that doesn't change the fact we're still both deeply in love with each other. But hey, we both knew right away that we'd found The One when we had. :)

We had an unexpected power outage this morning. It was heads or tails whether it was works on one side of the village or the other, but it was on the side that meant we had no power for an hour. *chuckles* Which, not pleasant, but we keep our curtains mainly closed this time of year, so we weren't too miserable without the a/c for a bit.
((and of course, for the first time, me a bit jealous of spouse's lil USB desk can xD))
Work happened, socks got finished, and I got attacked by cold brew concentrate. The lid on it is metal, and it tore the skin on the inside of my middle finger. I slapped a plaster on it, because it was bleeding profusely, but I'm sure it's a shallow cut and will be fine when I take the plaster off later to air it out.
Right. Yarn to cake, games to play.

I had a lil giggle this morning. One of my friends happens to copyedit for an author I really like, and I have a bad habit of sending him a list of things he misses. Having finished a book this morning, I sent him my two finds. He's glad that I let him know when I see mistakes, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't giggling a tiny bit when we were talking about it. But like, I'm glad I can help him, he's glad that I let him know if I spot anything, etc.
For the moment, taking advantage of my mother-in-law's generosity. The kids came through complaining that their shower gels from The Body Shop had run out... ... ... well. They're on sale and Nanny does like to give us a lil treat, so we're all getting a restock. She normally offers to buy us something when she's buying stuff for herself, but instead she's buying stuff for us and tacking on something for herself, ha ha. Semi-dramatic teenager is grateful because 'other stuff doesn't work'.

I am doing my very best to do nothing. My body was/is doing severe sugar cravings to recover from feeling so ill yesterday, which. Less than ideal. I'm certainly not going to moralise at myself for my body demanding I cram sweet things in at pace. Would it be better if it didn't? Well yeah. But I listen to my body, even when it makes those demands because it means it needs it to manage things like, hey, getting better food in me.
Disability is fuuun.
Childing survived London and returned in one piece. They're not feeling their best today, but I'm sure they were walking around a lot, and jamming out. That kind of fun takes a toll, but at least they too have nothing they need do for a few days to recover from it. I look forward to hearing more when they're up to chatting, and in the interim are glad they kept in constant contact with their father while out.
