Existing persists. I don't feel as 'good' as I did yesterday, but I don't feel as bad as the day before. So that's... something? I got part of a chore done that I wanted to, so that's good too.

Less good is finding out that if eldest wants to take the bus they are currently taking, to go to the same school for sixth form, is gonna cost us £1,100 a year. Right. Because we have a spare £92 a month floating around for that. *sighs* We'll figure something out, but it's like... do you even want these kids to continue their semi-mandated education?!

Anyways. Back to games-and-yarn.

New phone has arrived! Which means spending ages making it look as much like the old one as possible, ha ha. It's coming along. I've got the look mainly sorted, so now it's getting logged back into everything.

Past that, I'm in a slight gah, what to play lull. There's new content coming out for Anno 117: Pax Romana later this month, but like... I'm done with it for the second? I mean, I bought the year 1 pass, but. Ready for something else now. I would still prefer something I can watch tick by, because I'm making great headway on my sock (finally). I'll figure something out. Probably.

I am definitely in recovery mode today. I woke up *SUPER LATE* (12:48pm), and have been limping around the times I do get out of my chair. I'd commented to my beloved @moonrabbit that I should expect it, since I overdid it the entire weekend after our declutterer visited, and have been in recovery since.

So of course, this is now the day that house reorg is happening. The eldest wanted their desktop moved upstairs, which we agreed was reasonable. It also means that it gives the younger more space downstairs, which is fair compensation for her having -zero- room in her bedroom (it was a small room to start with, and the previous owner fitted a wardrobe that takes up a third of the room). We're not against getting the wardrobe potentially removed in future... but that requires us to get the stuff we're storing out of it. *laughs*

I am exhausted. Heh. I finished making the PDFs for the new patterns; there were 27. Yeah. Ouch. Now I've got to get them listed, so keep an eye out for that if you're interested.

I've also reclaimed our entryway/'hallway'. There are still a few bits that need work, but it's the best it's been in a very very very (very) long time.

What else... spouse bent my arm and now I've got a Switch 2 for just me coming in. And the I bent youngest's arm, and she does too. *laughs*

So like, our family has an old bank account that we use to stash 'fun' money in. It's money we get in lieu of birthday gifts or Christmas gifts. It's money from work bonuses, and money from doing surveys. We're lucky we can do that instead of pouring it into the household funds, I admit, but it also means that we all tend to let it build up because there isn't anything we really want. But with Pokopia out next week, and knowing that I'd be getting 1-2 Switch 2 Lites in future anyways, why not bite the bullet and just get myself a Switch 2 now. I had the money, it will bring me pleasure, so. Why not.

Caught up on work, woo, etc. Which means I then turned around and started doing too many lil chores around the house, ha ha. Having said that, I feel like I'm making a bit of a difference, so that's pretty nice.

Past that, gaming and trying to remember to catch my breath. Digging into my taffy delivery; I got 2 kilos, so maybe it'll last more than a day. xD

I've also decided what I want to do for cross-stitch itch right now -- take my pride flag patterns, and convert them into heart patterns. I figure I can offer those for sale, and if someone wants to pay me to make one for them, that can happen too. Having said that, I'm sure I'll make an enby and bi for my own environs, hee hee.

I've got my area just about tidied up; my head appreciates it. There's still stuff that needs shifting around, but it's good enough for this precise second.

Bonus -- got a craft chore done. My bi pride necklace went missing when we went out on Monday, so I had to make myself a new one. I remembered I already had some dice of the right colours pre-drilled, so it wasn't too many spoons more to push through and get it done.

Right. Time to be half-assedly social.

Nothing in particular today -- just gaming and being a lump. I've been having a hard time getting to sleep lately, which has knock on effects. Having said that, I reputedly fall asleep within minutes, but I think spouse mistakes me being still and breathing evenly for sleep sometimes. Or maybe I'm just a lil butt who gets stressed out if they don't fall asleep in 7 minutes, who knows. I do get there and mainly stay under. Still. Chronic fatigue, innit.

For now, trying to get a few lil chores done. Which means I'll probably overdo it, but ah well. *chuckles*

#today I made my first panqueca ever :3

("pancake" but the savory kind, so crepes; we call them pancakes here)

2:1 oat flour to wheat flour, an egg, a splash of milk, a buncha herbs and spices and a little bit of garlic and a tiny bit of ginger, blended it all, oiled up frying pan, let it cook slowly, flip and steam with a lid, fill with cream cheese

Happy birthday to me, etc. 44 will hopefully be excellent, even if it's off to a bleh start. I got hit with a sharp headache before I went to bed last night. I took a co-codamol, but it still persisted in my sleep, waking me up several times. It even wove into a dream, wherin I was trying to find some paracetamol/Tylenol, and someone tried to give me a Fisherman's Friend, insisting it was just as good. Pfft.

Happy new year, for those who celebrate. I'm alive, so that's a good start. The cold is progressing; I don't think I've gotten it as bad(ly?) as the rest of the family did. I mean, blowing my nose and triggering a short vertigo attack aside, ha ha.

Nothing really to report past that. Just being a lump. Not sure if tomorrow is back to work. I'd rather blow it off until Tuesday next week, but we'll see what spouse needs me to do/not do when the morrow comes.

I have to, most rudely, leave the house today. It's the Christmas dinner for our employees/co-workers, and I feel obligated to attend. It's the first year we've had one for just our office rather than the entire building, so. I also have to cook dinner for the kids before I leave, but that shouldn't be too big a deal, time considering.

(Woo, kids wanting a change of dinner plans means I'm not cooking. xD)

But it meant that I felt the need to wash my hair extra, which. It's done, but like, bleh. I was already 'default' feeling extra exhausted, but it's bad enough that a quick trip up and down the stairs hit me in a way it normally doesn't. Bodies. So rude.

I continue to exist, and have managed to do the one thing I absolutely have to do on a Monday -- hair washed. Extra important this week, as I need to pass as human tomorrow, ha ha.

For now, just curled up with games. I was trying my hand at Europa Universalis IV, immediately got confused, and brought up Victoria 3 instead. Which I'm still not great at, but at least I kind of know what I'm doing. Kind of. I should probably try a wider range of countries, rather than repeatedly defaulting to the US and UK. *laughs*

It's Friday! Survived another week, ha ha. Managed to focus on work well enough, and fun stuff since that the continuing fibro flare is mainly ignored... mainly. I mean, it's still there and rude, but anyways. Not a lot I can do about it besides wait it out. ¬¬

Also waiting -- for the pharmacy at the surgery (doctor's office) to get back to me. One of my meds is completely unavailable right now, so I'm asking if they can give me a prescription for the generic... which is out of stock almost everywhere, but at least one location has some. Even if quetiapine (Seroquel) is one of my most important meds, I can survive if I can't get it immediately. We'll see what they say, and if they say it today. If not, I'll probably have to drag myself into the office on Monday.

For now... caffeine and games, maybe a bit of knitting. We'll see how it goes.

Today has been alright! Got work done fairly quickly, and had some luck in my shiny hunting in 'Pokémon ZA'. I'm still in place for a potential Fennekin, but have gotten like, everything else in the area shiny just about. Which is great! If I manage spares, I can give them to the childling.

Past that, a bit on my Minecraft game, a bit in LotRO. I even picked up my knitting for a row, ha ha. Busy hands mean quiet brain, after all.

Gah, I accidentally dumped the post I'd been writing, 'cause I picked up my laptop and the screen went black on me? It's because I was excited to see that Etsy had changed listing options so I can set a US-specific price. Which means selling to the US is nearly back on (as long as USPS aren't destroying parcels). I'll need to adjust my prices on everything, and think about adding some more listings of my fayre stuff, for example. I would very much like to get back to getting a few sales here and there.

This has been balanced against feeling a strong wave of grief. I've been missing my best boy Batman a lot. I love our clowder, don't get me wrong, but he was special. I mean, he would tuck me into bed every night, and I knew no other cat would do the same. Not just because all cats are different, but because it was him. Closest I get now is Vivi humping my leg through the blanket nightly which... free leg massage? ><

Oh stars, today I am just like, gaming and more gaming. I have so many games up! And because of that, I'm really happy, ha ha. I tend to feel anxious when I don't know what to play, so having a lot of things to poke at is bliss.

LotrO: Currently cleaning up some deeds for previous areas for points and fun.
Pokemon: Making slow but steady headway on the main story/catching them all.
Minecraft: New game up on laptop, which I will probably get bored of once I hit the Nether. xD
Phone: I've developed a bit of an addiction to Match Factory, ha ha.

Whups, time escapes me. I got work knocked out pre-noon, but then was focused on grinding deeds -- the most annoying of deeds, Bree-land deeds. But they are done on my current main, and hallelujah for that. xD

Youngest even popped into the game for a bit. I grouped up with her and showed her around a bit, as in, picking up, tracking, and doing quests. Spouse was a smidge sad because he couldn't join in due to too much work stuff to do, but I'm sure we'll make it happen at some point soon. Now I've got to figure out what I myself want to do in game for now, ha ha. Grind more deeds, or circle back around and do some more Moria quests? I'll get the next section of deeds put into my spreadsheet and think about it. Maybe swap to a less involved game and focus on knitting more.

As for the knitting, I added ball 7 of 10 earlier. So exciting progress. I can feel the rows getting shorter, which is super encouraging. I also need to look up a good knitting pattern for lil pumpkins, because pumpkins. *nodnods*

The downside towards working towards consistently waking up a bit earlier means that sometimes, I get done with work really early and feel like the entire day is a yawning chasm in front of me in a bad way. What's bad about having more time, brain? Really? We've got games, we've got yarn, what's the deal? Brains, innit. Rude damp sacks of fat.

I actually had another Etsy order come in last night! Miracle! If this were my day job, I could just about afford cheap-ass ramen for the month, ha ha.

Of course, it means that the need to craft grows slightly urgent. One of the freebies I put in first orders is a lil purple-and-white crochet heart ornament, and I've run out as far as I can tell. So gonna get some of those cranked out, and then look at returning to stock stuff. I've got another round of the needle reminder markers in progress, and I have a few bits of jewellery that need varying degrees of restocking.

So yeah, between that and being done with work, I guess I'm probably in for a rather pleasant afternoon. :)

Lots of little bits. Got through work, found out poor spouse accidentally duplicated a bunch of payments. Most of them were to us, so not too difficult to sort, but still Not fun when you have to fix mistakes.

I finally finished all the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet Pokédexes, and got my Shiny. Now the Switches are off, and whether or not I take a break from Pokémon remains to be seen. But I'm pleased I managed the task.

I ordered some bras, and it turns out they're all like, super thin and nipple party; I'd forgotten that was a current weird trend. As I'm not the scrawny child I was pre-kids (not that I would have wanted to engage in that trend then either!), and my boobs are prone to pointing all sorts of directions.. well. I've got them packed up for return collection tomorrow. I still want to get some new bras, but I'll just have to shop even more carefully. ><

((but also, gold star me getting that immediately packed up and ready for return instead of dithering and whups, a month has gone and return window closed xD))

Had to, semi-rudely, leave the house this morning. I had to mail something back to my friend who visited Friday, as well as posting an Etsy order. But I took Littler with me as company, which is always a store visit delight (as she asks, politely, if she can have a treat xD).

I had a message from my brother overnight; it seems his son wants to get to know me! His kids are still littles (Pre-K), and of course, he's still on the other side of the Atlantic. When I cut off Voldemom, he was the one sibling that wasn't really sure he wanted to maintain a relationship with me, so I've given him lots of space in the years. After his dad died and she naffed off to another state with a new boyfriend, he swung back around towards wanting to connect with me. I still give him lots of space because I respect that this is his process, not mine. But I'm SUPER glad too, because my eldest has wanted to connect with his stepdaughter for years. SD is only two years younger than my eldest, while all the rest are younger than my youngest, so. Hopefully I can finally get that connection going too.

((and like I said to @moonrabbit -- I was prepared to lose contact with all my siblings when I went no contact with VM, so I consider myself super lucky that I still have contact with all three of them))

Past that, just playing Pokémon with a side of Manor Lords. After several restarts, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. :)

I still give him lots of space because I respect that this is his process, not mine. But I'm SUPER glad too, because my eldest has wanted to connect with his stepdaughter for years. SD is only two years younger than my eldest, while all the rest are younger than my youngest, so. Hopefully I can finally get that connection going too.

Had to, semi-rudely, leave the house this morning. I had to mail something back to my friend who visited Friday, as well as posting an Etsy order. But I took Littler with me as company, which is always a store visit delight (as she asks, politely, if she can have a treat xD).

I had a message from my brother overnight; it seems his son wants to get to know me! His kids are still littles (Pre-K), and of course, he's still on the other side of the Atlantic. When I cut off Voldemom, he was the one sibling that wasn't really sure he wanted to maintain a relationship with me, so I've given him lots of space in the years. After his dad died and she naffed off to another state with a new boyfriend, he swung back around towards wanting to connect with me. I still give him lots of space because I respect that this is his process, not mine. But I'm SUPER glad too, because my eldest has wanted to connect with his stepdaughter for years. Just sort of mucking through the day. I got work done, and now I'm back to my Pokémon grinding.

I've got the weekly ISG craft and chat in an hour and a half, so that should be nice. I think I'm going to work on rings, if I do actually turn my hand to crafting alongside the chatting. Mainly, just want to keep it going so that it doesn't die before it has a chance to grow.

Not a lot going on. Finished the scarf last night and got cranking out on a blanket last night. I've actually made really good progress on it; I'm about to add the second ball of yarn. I woke up fairly early and got through work quickly, so lots of time to work on that this afternoon.

And I just got more beads/findings in, so there will be more bracelet science at some point. Maybe tonight if I need a wee break from crochet, maybe not. I did a quick check on the ones I've made so far to see if the smaller magnet clasps I used were acceptable, and they were in most cases.

Right, onward, yarnward.
