#DACA recipient and Vegas worker Norma Torres Moreno “said she filed her renewal application in March but has not yet received a decision. Her current work permit is set to expire in September.”
She worries losing the health insurance her daughter depends on for seizure medication and therapy.

Aliento says DHS and USCIS have proposed a rule adding discretionary barriers for DACA applicants tied to arrests, charges or allegations, ... not only convictions.
The rule is not yet in effect and the public comment window closes August 4.

"She also wrote that she and other detainees ‘have to beg for phone time to speak to our lawyers and family,’ and that one day, ‘the officers got angry and claimed the phones were down all day.’”
