I'm guessing "The Cytron sales issue is being fixed." (Raspberry Pi Forum) means they've pulled the plug on "Special Value Pi 4" as the product has gone from Cytrons website.
I'm still not convinced them existing at all without being identifiable is a good idea. Whichever products "specific customers" use them in will likely be e-waste at some point where an unmarked lower frequency Pi could be resold as a regular model.

Soooo the "Special Value" Pi 4 aren't supposed to be limited to 1.25GHz automatically, after every [re]install you need to add "arm_freq=1250" to config.txt 😬 .
Since they have the same Revision as a regular Pi 4 Rev 1.4 I can see them causing problems when they're resold (unless there's something hidden in the OTP?) - buyer of Pi 4 beware I guess ⚠️ .

Did anyone else get a Cytron "Special Value" 1.25Ghz max clock Raspberry Pi 4?
If so, is yours actually limited? Mine seem to run at 1.8Ghz (for now anyway 🤣).

Raspberry Pi 4 with a slower processor is now available for a slight discount
The global RAM shortage has driven up prices for all sort of computers in recent months, even models that were supposed to be super cheap, like Raspberry Pi computers – most of which saw price hikes in April.
So it’s interesting to see that Cytron is now selling some Raspberry Pi 4 Model B boards at a discount. There’s a catch though – they’re not as fast as a typical Raspberry Pi 4.
