    Hereabouts, .de, I can legally drive my bicycle over any road, path, ... that has no prohibition sign on it. Aaaand the stupid algorithms want me too go kilometres out of my way to avoid a signposted cycle path through a forest.

    At least Footpath can be tricked to follow the route I want.

    A rantlet: presumably routing algorithms are difficult to write and there are public ones available. That would at least explain why many (most/all) navigation apps for bicycles, eg. Komoot, Flow, Footpath, ... insist on routing via routes legal for motor vehicles.

    This behaviour seems independent of any map overlay used.
