As a startup investor in FinTech, cybersecurity is part of almost every pitch by now. Consequently, I find it astounding that established institutions lack good cybersecurity postures. The recent ransomware outage at a credit union service provider shows a remarkable lack of technical preparation and thought-out communication plans. The shortcomings exist for the service provider and the affected institutions.
