You know what I love most about #CUPS?
The fact that it will just spontaneously break from time to time, without any changes being made, and requiring much jiggery-pokery, cursing, repeatedly deleting and recreating printer entries, cursing some more, sacrificing a black goat at midnight under a full moon, etc before it will work again.
Literally just happened to me, again, between 2 print jobs, less than a minute apart. Changed absolutely nothing, but the second one failed and the printer (in CUPS, not the actual printer itself) went into an unrecoverable state.

The four of us went to visit some bookshops downtown Gijón this afternoon. I stumbled upon a book that promised to somehow explain some odd-sounding Spanish oaths. The titular one is locally something like "me cagon la leche", which translates to "I shit in the milk".
There are loads of varieties of that one in here alone, and I've been gently baffled by this stuff for almost two decades now.
In any case, swearing is fun and reading is always good.

Just saw another bicycle lane accident, at 49th Street. Guy on a powered rent-a-bike, stopped at a red light with some guy making a delivery. Another delivery guy doesn't stop in time, slams into the first guy, throwing him from his bike. No one was hurt. No one cursed either which surprised me.
