Oh, and while yes, #spotify are likely sleazy buggers like every other web2.0 thing, but they don't actually 'steal' the work of the 87%. They host your tracks for free. The artists get all the benefits of content delivery and payment processing without paying a cent.
In 1975, even in 1995, if your LP failed to rake in sufficient moolah, the band was required to refund the loss from their advance. Going double-platinum paid as much as managing a McDonald's.
