I find this incredibly persuasive by James Meadway that Corbynism was able to evade fundamental questions about the state due to the fiscal enablements of low interest rates in the 2010s. The Greens will not be able to evade these questions due to the different fiscal climate of the 2020s but that there are a lot of intellectual resources in the green movement to tackle this.

I don’t think we should underestimate how powerful this sense of enjoyment can be with young men suffering from what a growing TikTok conspiracy theory calls “the 2020 effect”: the emptying of colour of the world, the loss of vibrancy and life, since the pandemic for a generation who arguably were hardest hit by lockdown measures while being least at risk from infection. The TikTok phenomenon suggests a networked recovery of jouissance amongst young men, consolidating it seems around a radical right able and willing to mobilise them rather than an eviscerated centre-left which has no idea what to do with the power it has won by defenestrating the radical left.

What I also found strange was policy comparisons. There's barely anything to choose between #Corbynism & #Starmerism.

It's more to do with a difference in approach, the way their messages are disseminated & the messengers doing the delivery.

There's a huge difference between Abbott & Harman, & McDonnell & ex-BoE Economist Reeves etc.

The fact #Labour have moved on successfully without them enrages them even more. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I kinda feel like #TheGuardian has become bigger in the #US news scene as the liberal newspaper for liberal liberalism.

Perhaps it's just #corporate desire for growth, or perhaps it's because that newspaper was instrumental in destroying #Corbynism and so helped to deliver this magnificent calamity of a #Tory government, that has damaged the #newspaper's reputation in the #UK ... idk
