I remember when my father was posted in Kolkata he had a mobile phone back in 2001, and he had to pay ₹8–₹10 per minute just to receive incoming calls. I don't remember the exact Nokia model, but it looked like a satellite phone, a heavy, blocky piece of tech. Today, when I tell Gen Z about it, they freak out. They can't accept why anyone would pay just to receive a call. LoL, good old days.
