#SNCF 🇫🇷 #CC6520 is seen here at Aix-les-Bains in the French Alps on a #TER service in August 2004. The train is composed of #USI, #UIC and #Corail stock. In the 1970s and 1980s Class #CC6500 locos used to work SNCF‘s most prestigious trains on DC lines. They finished their careers on regional duties.

Two new Ouigo Train Classique (#Corail) train pairs are announced to start in April 2026 on Fridays to Sundays between #Paris Austerlitz 🇫🇷 and #Bordeaux-St-Jean, operating on the conventional line via Les-Aubrais-Orléans and Poitiers.

These things that stay in a box for decades. Useless, but of a certain emotional value. Like this #Munich 🇩🇪 to #Salzburg 🇦🇹 ticket and the timetable leaflet, from March 1980: D265 #Mozart. My first ever ride on an #SNCF 🇫🇷 #Corail car, which I, aged 16 back then, found comfortable, classy and stylish. And I still do, aged 60 (something).

Blanchissement également observé en Nouvelle-Calédonie en Polynésie, à Mayotte à La Réunion sous l'effet de températures élevées de l'océan et de l'impact du cyclone Garance #corail -

Impressions from a #Bordeaux to #Brive #SNCF 🇫🇷 cross-country service in March 2008. Nice views on the line from the rear vestibule of the last car. This was a largely unaltered #Corail carriage with original seat covers: red tissue in 1st and brown faux-leather in 2nd class.

Boarding the #Bordeaux to #Marseille #SNCF 🇫🇷 #Corail #InterCity train at #Toulouse. A #minibar trolley service is available throughout the journey, yet not a proper @diningcar. But: their coffee ☕️ is actually quite good.

August 1985, while on an #InterRail tour: my first ever photo of an #SNCF 🇫🇷 #CC6500 - and my first trip on a train worked by one of these six-axle classics: from #Chambery with the #Lyon to #Milan #MontCenis. Behind the CC6552 two #FS 1st class compartment cars, followed by #SNCF #Corail 2nd class coaches.
