  1. What I expected when I watched the science-fiction film “Companion” - yet another story about the dangers of AI bots who go rogue.

What I got: Quite some social commentary about sexism, toxic relationships, coercive control, imbalance of power, domestic abuse and violence, and ultimately feminism and female rage.
In my eyes, a recommendable film, and with very good acting.

  11. #PennedPossibilities 1108 Tell us something you like about your story. (Maybe something you find interesting, entertaining, or amusing.)

What I like about #Unmodeled and #Companion, is that they don't mince words. They are unsettling dystopias and could very well become reality. I like their potential to maybe change some minds or even just one.

What I like about #Reencounter, #ForYou, and #FindingMe, is the chemistry in them. One's more nerdy, one more flirty—but they all vibe.

  16. #PhantastikPromts AUG-22 Deine Hauptfigur gewinnt 1 Million Euro im Lotto. Was tut sie damit?

  27. A Quiet Moment by the Water: Bernie’s Favorite Rock

Bernie had been sitting on a particular rock for what felt like a very long time.

Not because the rock was especially comfortable – it wasn’t – but because from here she could see things she liked. The sailboats drifting lazily across the harbor. The shingled houses tucked into the green hillside. The pale blue sky showing its slow, cottony dance overhead.

She was not lonely, she told herself. She was simply…without a companion.

A little breeze came off the water and ruffled her feathers in a way that felt almost like a pat on the back. She appreciated that.

Across the cove, a sailboat swung gently on its mooring, and Bernie watched it for a while. Someone was on that boat, probably. Someone with a sandwich, maybe. She thought warmly of sandwiches.

Then the grasses behind her rustled, and a small brown head popped up from the dunes.

“Oh,” said the newcomer, who was also a duck, and also, it turned out, very much without a companion. “I didn’t know anyone else liked it here.”

“I like it here,” said Bernie, with quiet dignity.

The newcomer hopped up onto the rocks beside Bernie. They sat together watching the harbor shimmer.

Neither of them said anything for a long while.

It was, Bernie thought, exactly enough.

With a press of a button the 4 (#StreamDeck +) or 6 (Stream Deck XL+) "button" tiles are directly sent over to your #Bitfocus #Companion 5 instance so you can see if the effects and settings work for you. – No, it's not (yet) released or been made public and maybe never will. But you know how to use you preferred A.I. tool to bake something similar! 😉 #elgato
