sound design HACK (real) (for fl studio, adjust for your daw)

1. get a square wave
2. add unison (optional)
3. select an area, set snapping to none
4. go to piano roll and randomize in a minor pentatonic scale, change the settings so that there's a lot of short little notes, adjust octave and range to taste
5. this is what they call "A colour bass banger"

this can be layered with a bass to make it more colorful/harmonically rich, used to vocode a bass, used as a convolution impulse response, and whatever else may come to mind
