In #Arizona, two #Republican supervisors in #Cochise County have been indicted for refusing to certify the results of their county's 2022 general #elections. The pair of officials refused to certify the results because Democrats won several of the races. A judge later ordered the election to be certified.
Today's indictment charges each official with one felony count of Interfering with an Elections Officer and one count of conspiracy.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office is on scene of a critical incident in the area of Camino Segundo and Camino Principal off Hwy-92 south of Sierra Vista.We are asking for the public to avoid this area until further notice and a "Shelter in Place" notification has been issued to residents in the area.

It's Thursday. As a resident of #Cochise County, #Arizona, I have mixed feelings about next week's deadline. I like to think my vote here makes a difference, as there's a growing #blue presence here. Yes, really--I can vouch for that. But jokes aside, how are you supposed to feel about the fact that having your vote discarded would add another Dem seat (via Kirsten Engel) to the House? 🤔 🤪 😵 This is not how things are supposed to work.

Two counties in Arizona, #Cochise and #Mohave, are refusing to certify the 2022 #election. Both counties are heavily #Republican. #Arizona law states that if they don't certify by the deadline, none of their votes count. That would solidify the wins for all #Democrats in close races and possibly push at least one #Congressional seat to the #Democratic side. I am so very very glad that #Republicans are generally dumb. If they were smart, we'd be in a world of trouble.
