I just watched a talk with C.C. Elian about her work, and I really enjoyed hearing that she valued the physicalization of writing the way she does.

One of my clown teachers said to me, "Figure out what you need, and give it to yourself."
It was one of the simplest yet most difficult to follow pieces of advice I'd ever been offered.

While logging in to kick off our backups, I decided to consult my #ClownWisdom file...

Well that bodes just ominously enough to make me happy I ran the backups.

I find myself often repeating valuable things I learned from my teachers.
This is a useful thing to share, but I know that I've really learned something when I can answer the following question:
"I have *heard* this lesson, but where did I *learn* it?"
Your stories matter, because they are where you uniquely experienced something.
Everything else is commentary on those experiences.

Tonight's clown wisdom is brought to you by a poorly thought out and exceptionally silly game called Accelerando.
The game is played by blowing the caps from kombucha bottle around your kitchen table, and dramatically cheering "Accelerando!" when one falls off the edge. Stunt tricks and weird faces are absolutely encouraged.

#Wattsworth ate a relatively new LED lightbulb recently.
While replacing it, Liam reminded me that part of our (electrical) system was currently ungrounded, and as a result things might burn out faster.
I keep thinking about how this also true outside of the realm of the electrical.

Jango passed in 2022, leaving behind a wild legacy and a rumor that he finished a book called "The Clown Bible" before his death. While I've not seen it materialize, I'm hopeful to add it to our library.

I dipped into my #ClownWidsom files, three times, as a sort of divination/meditation.
My own words were offered back to me, spanning years of teaching and performing:
"Stages are interesting beasts in that they simultaneously create intimacy and distance."
