Can’t quite believe it, but Spring for Twitter still works. That said, it feels like a ghost town. Even the #Classic100 tag doesn’t have the buzz it used to. I remember when it was full of chatter after every piece. Times have changed, clearly.

@HarmonthSeeker I used to do that, too, when the #Classic100 was on. I used to thoroughly enjoy the whole weekend, listening to the music, cheerfully disagreeing with others there, or sharing my love of a piece of music with them.
I was only thinking today that I don't even enjoy the countdown the way I used to, ten years ago, and wondered what had changed. Maybe its Mastodon, but more likely, it's me.

Today I was listening to #Classic100 on @abcclassic and realised how much I miss Twitter. I used to live-tweet during these events, posting thoughts after each piece and chatting with others in real time. It was such a great way to feel part of the classical music community.
Facebook doesn’t have the same energy for this sort of thing. It’s a pity so many of the accounts I followed aren’t on Mastodon, though I really value the connections I’ve made here.
