It’s the first home game of the season here at Turf Moor as we take on Cardiff City. First game since the departures of Odobert and Twine, and the omission of James Trafford from the team is the main surprise - presumably on his way out.

Thankfully I learned not to chase audiences very early on. The original Fire on Ice stuff ended up going out to 1000 people a week (in 1999!), without me making a single ounce of effort to build an audience.
Writing the stupid blog would vary between 100 and then suddenly 8,000 hits.
Doing the #clarets OOMTM stuff on YouTube is either 150 views or 1500. Yet somehow I've got a decent number of subscribers and a fairly decent ratio of comments to views.
