Who's all going to #CIUK next week? I'm excited to be giving a talk with my colleague Friday morning about the work that's been going on in the #Ubuntu #HPC community. Perhaps we should have an HPC.social meet up during the conference? Hopefully I've fought off the jet lag by then 😅

Had my social media self-description certified this evening at a #CIUK networking event. A polite undergrad, presumably here for the Student Cluster Competition, wanted to speak to me about my "PC to #HPC" talk earlier that day.

I did not give a talk today.

So yes, I am that middle aged white guy you know that works on computers. You can never remember his name, but you know it's one of 7 extremely white dude ones from the '80s.

Waiting for a CrossCountry train to Manchester for #CIUK. Trying to prep with some #StuartHall because the #HPC event is going to be intense and I can only take so much undiluted (anarcho?) #capitalism.
