"Fiserv has not confirmed what the cause of the incident is. According to reports, the outage allegedly appears to have originated from problems with its core processing software (DNA) and related services like Nautilus (document and content management) and Payment Exchange (real-time transfers).
"While some functionality has returned for select services, many banks are still experiencing intermittent issues as of Friday afternoon.
"We reached out to Fiserv for comment but as of publication had not heard back. As of now, Fiserv has not released a public timeline for full restoration or details of the cause of the incident.
"This incident is more than just an inconvenience - it highlights how fragile the digital banking experience can be when so many institutions rely on a single vendor.
"Fiserv supports everything from transaction processing to statement delivery. When one system fails, it's not just a front-end website that goes dark. Payments don’t go through. Payroll deposits don’t arrive. Consumers lose access to their money."

Called back again in the morning, first person I reached put me on hold for many minutes, then I got transferred to a second person who claimed to have made the necessary change so I would stop receiving junk-mail; we'll see if it works.
The whole call took 17 minutes. If they had a f*cking unsubscribe form on their web site I could have accomplished this in less than a minute.

Just tried to get #CitizensBank to stop sending me junk (paper, not e-) mail. Called the number for this listed in their privacy policy. Kept being asked by the automated system to enter my account number. I don't have one, I'm a _former_ customer. No instructions given for what to do if you don't have an account number. I just kept hitting 0 until it stopped asking, at which point it informed me they couldn't handle my call right now and I had to call back in the morning.

I’m always interested in how bike companies are adding financing as an option for their customers. I saw a Citizens Pay ad (which I had never heard of) for Trek’s online store with “0% financing”. So I clicked through and found this buried really deep in the fine print… 29.99% APR on purchases “after the promotional period”.
