  15. Today’s listening is ’Fish Out Of Water’, the 1975 album by Chris Squire.

During 1975/76 the 5 members of Yes released solo albums.

Chris Squire’s terrific album is for me the most ‘Yes-like’ of the lot, probably due to the bass guitar being used as a lead instrument and Chris’ distinctive voice.

On balance, it is also probably the best (though ‘Olias’ runs it close).

Old band-mate Bill Bruford and Patrick Moraz also appear.

    An excellent 'lost Yes' album!

  17. #Monday #DailyTracks : It's #September ending and we are naturally behind the eight ball music wise once again but this time is different...okay no it isn't. Reality is the reason but that isn't necessarily bad news when looking at the rest of the world. We are alive and above water. Extraordinarily grateful but alas...also feeling deeply for those struggling once more in the aftermath of a storm

    Owner of a Lonely Heart

Happy 75th birthday to Trevor Horn.

Here is a look back at the sound of the ’80s through the creative genius of Yes and this great musician and producer.

    “Sooner or later each conclusion
    Will decide the lonely heart
It will excite it will delight
It will give a better start”

“Perpetually overlooked… the right album at the wrong time. It’s fascinating to hear Jon Anderson’s voice sounding rather throaty and, well, dirty”: Yes’ Talk 30th Anniversary edition
An untitled Trevor Rabin instrumental and an incredible 10-minute demo of Endless Dream crown the bonus elements of the 1994 ‘Yes West’ record.

  23. When you've tried most everything
    and nothing's taking you higher
    When you come to realize
    you've been playing with fire
Hear me when I say to you
it's really down to your heart.
It's the beginning of a new love in sight.
You've got the way to make it all happen
    Set it spinning turning roundabout
    Create a new dimension
When we are winning we can stop & shout
    Making love towards perfection.
