Coffeeshop's WiFi is not working so I plan to finish brushing up basic stats today.
Seems like Chi-square is a really crude and limited technique. Here are my concerns about it:
1. Combining and splitting subgroups might lead to significant changes to the final score.
2. It seems mathematically shaky to add up the squared values of normalized scores, and there's no renormalization based on the way the categorization is done. -

Today's cultural learnings for make great nation of Statistics:
* Chi Squared distribution is useful
* Likert data is hard work
* I have a lot of survey data that needs re-doing... :)
