@ChrisMayLA6 Yesterday afternoon, I also expected 2 #Clacton by-elections.

But the ground has shifted v fast overnight:

1/ Ed Davey calls for refusal of #ChilternHundreds
2/ other parties refuse to contest by-election
3/ Telegraph turns savagely against Farage: https://mastodon.ie/@2legged/116883320518954914

I think it's possible that Farage is over. Not at all certain. Probably odds against. But genuinely possible in a way that was unimaginable a month ago.

@kittylyst It is v hard to imagine #ZackPolanski losing that by-election unless he is smeared to hell.

So I think that a carpet-bombimg of smears against #Polanski will be the forewarning of #Starmer's resignation of his Commons seat.

By the time Starmer takes the #ChilternHundreds, the people of Holborn and St Pancras will believe that Polanski has installed Hamas hit squads in their bedrooms.
