Earlier today I did some 'light' reading of the NZ Cyber Threat Report for 2021/22 and was stoked that it wasn't just all gibberish to my eyes and brain. Thanks to having been at #Kawaiicon and #Chcon this year, some of the jargon was familiar as were some of the examples. #ProfessionalDevelopment for the win.

A week ago I came back from #Chcon, my first non-Kawaiicon #infosec conference. So it was quite a bit of fun going through some of my photos from 10 #Kiwicon / #Kawaiicon events and realise for how long I've known some people already yet usually only see once a year. Yes, I'm at the point of procrastination that I'm even looking at stats just so as not to write minutes and deal with emails (non-work related).

This concludes my #infosec reporting until the next conference (Kawaiicon 2023?) that I'll be able to attend. It's back to #portfolio #Mahara and random other things.

What is a laptop without stickers? You could definitely spot some interesting and funny ones at #Chcon and also stock up on great punny ones for the odd square cm that might still be empty.

Activities are built into the destination conference programme of #Chcon. This morning some of us went hiking. We all came back down and are now listening to day 2 talks.

Back at work after three security conferences in 8 days ... the NZ scene is very well catered for!

Just to be clear - these are public grass-roots non-vendor conferences, sponsored heavily by some excellent people and businesses to keep costs down for us all.
