Me and my friend went #champing ie., had a sleepover in a historical church. It was absolutely lovely, they arranged camp beds (not the comfiest but beats a sleeping bag and a mat any day), a kettle with coffee and tea facilities and candles in abundance. We sat in the near dark past midnight drinking hot choc with rum and chatted and just delighted in all the details. Amazing. Absolutely will do this again. My bed was next to an effigy of a 13th century knight and his amusing lion..(cont)

Hi! I am a new follower and I was impressed with the pictures of the Tenerife Cathedral. I am guessing that in Spain they deconsecrate some churches or due to lack of funds they might end in ruins. A thing I saw in UK is that some churches can be booked for the night like an organised camping by a not for profit. Do you know of anything similar? @sandrantunez hola! Soy un nuevo seguidor me quedé impresionado con las fotos de la catedral de Tenerife. Supongo que en España se desconsagran algunas iglesias o por falta de dinero pueden acabar en ruinas. Una cosa que vi en Reino Unido es que se reservan para pasar la noche tipo camping organizado x #ONG. https://champing.co.uk/ #champing #iglesia #campamento #iglamento ? #campiglesia ? Sabes si se hace algo similar? Porque los paradores nacionales conozco antiguas abadías pero no iglesias.
