Musical Interlude: I love, love, love this piece. I'm a sucker for the Charlie Brown specials, and will be watching the Great Pumpkin after dinner. This lovely track was composed by Vince Guaraldi for that special; here it is performed by him and his trio, but there's cover versions out there that are also worthwhile, like Dave Benoit and Chick Corea.
Happy Halloween, Mastodonians!

Musical Interlude: More Halloween silliness. Here's a track by bandleader Archie Bleyer and his orchestra.
Bleyer was a music arranger & bandleader who was the music director of Arthur Godfrey's radio show, and founded his own record label, Cadence. After being fired by Godfrey in '53, Bleyer focused on his record label, which introduced artists like Andy Williams and the Everly Brothers. Bleyer sold the label and retired in '64, feeling out of touch in the face of the British Invasion.
Anyway, here's "The Rockin' Ghost" by Archie Bleyer and His Orchestra, on his own label, Cadence.
