  1. Cisco’s integration of AI into their general certification tracks. linkedin.com/posts/john-capobi

AI in networking is a logical extension of large-scale analysis and orchestration. I get that. This has the same foundational thinking as the “every networking practitioner must be a developer” mantra from 10 years ago… and it holds a similar level of truth. This is why it belongs in the automation tracks and not the ever increasingly broad general tracks.

  2. Well-known TCP/UDP ports are the standard port numbers from 0 to 1023, assigned by IANA so common network services can be found consistently across systems.

Here at a list of well-known TCP/UDP port numbers and their applications 😎👇

  6. Currently in the middle of my #CCNA revisions. Finally got my hands on a #Cisco 2960 to have some fun with real equipment and move away from Packet Tracer.

I just rebuilt my homelab architecture. It's a classic but effective setup: #OPNsense firewall, managed switch, and multiple VLANs

I documented the whole topology, IPAM, and some troubleshooting steps on my personal wiki.

  7. I am not a network engineer. I have done a lot of network engineering things in my time.

It sure seems like a majority of the difficulty with things like the #CCNA (and other industry certs) is mostly just memorizing the non-standard marketing term for a very standard feature.

What the hell is EtherChannel? Is it different than link aggregation? No not really. So just call it friggin lagg or lacp like everyone else?
